I have a TT ONE XL with internal 1GB memory. The new maps i want to use are 1.5GB in size.

I turned on my TomTom One XL after some time and got only black screen. On screen is bootloader version S5.5274, Device ID starting GI. NAV2 EoL which means no further maps or other updates by Tomtom. This is a CRITICAL step because you MUST preserve your map(s) before the formatting.
Hi Taximan, great tutorial:) I have transfered the Navcore posted onto my TomTom and used Fastactivate posted above. I am trying to get part 2 of the UK Map but the download source does not seem to be working. Once i eventually get that, where do i put the new map folder and how do i activate it?Also is the bluetooth, show lane images, voice control preferences, enable wireless data, my tom tom account and tomtom buddy are all greyed out. Taxi, Amazing tut.
I got lost with this and usually i can nail things like this. Of all the tuts, the was by far the easiest to follow with great results.Well done:goodpost:Just one quick query, when I connect to home, i get some message about incorrect device application etc. Is there a way around this?My old TT one v4 is now running boot 5.5122, map uk & ire 860.3101 version 8.410 and is working well with cams etc.Just the home application throws out the error? I tried to the use the easy activator but it keeps saying can't find home.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again though:). Weldoneus mapsunited states 885.4087 or north america 885.4087 or both depends on where you going.the navcore just leave it alone now its fine for above maps.just google the maps, then copy to sd card & run fastactivate to patch new maps.one more thing if you haven't got a folder called zip on your sd card get it from here 885zip.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download (it & copy to sd card root to get 6 digit postcodeshappy sat-naving.
